Whilst being a big fan of Michelin tyres and loving the City Grip 2’s fitted to my other scooter, these really haven’t lived up to expectation. Despite trying multiple different pressures and different suspension set ups, I can’t get these to ride nice. They track every white line and imperfection in Edinburgh where I ride and in the wet I have no confidence in them at all. I understand they are an 80/20 road and trail tyre but it’s a compromise I’m not prepared to make for fashionable looks. I have also noticed that the wear rate is alarmingly fast. It’s a soft compound tyre, I get it. Again it’s a compromise too far for me. I will be replacing these once worn if not before. They really are god awful, sorry. It’s not just me feeling this. Read the Aprilia SR GT forum and you will see what others think.
